Delirium Noel is also known as Delirium Christmas
Every Christmas the Belgian based Huyghe Brewery releases their seasonal Delirium Noel beer. I usually prefer their original Delirium Tremens brew but always treat myself to a bottle (or 3) of Noel during the Christmas holiday.
The Noel servers up a combination of sharp zestful character, a little bitterness with a unique, crisp winter freshness of flavor ALONG with an additional 1% alcohol.
Delirium Tremens is a fairly new brew and has only been around since 1989.
On December 26th 1989, the famous “Delirium Tremens” was born. The particular character and the unique taste of “Delirium Tremens” result from the use of three different kinds of yeast. Its very original packing, which resembles cologne ceramics, and the colourful label contribute to its success. The label depicts the different phases of the production of “Delirium Tremens” the “Pink Elephant” was up and ready to conquer the world. To celebrate the bicentennial of the French Revolution in 1989, the topical beer “La Guillotine” was launched.
With its stout 10% alcohol content, you might want to make plans to stay in when you pour out this memorable holiday beer.
At an average of $10.00 a beer (9.4 ounce bottle) it’s not the cheapest, but well worth the expense.
For more information on Delirium Tremens, I believe this is the official website where you can explore a detailed history on the brewery and their products.
